The beaches

In Gozo, a beach simply means that you can go into the sea without jumping off a cliff!

The accesses can be a ladder on a rock, a flat rock, pebbles, gravel or sand rarely. On the beaches, there are deckchairs and parasols for rent at 4€/5€ for the delicate.

For swimming, watch out for jellyfish! the purple ones sting, the brown ones don't sting, the little blue ones are slightly irritating and float on the surface. You can consult This site to find out which beach to go to with this updated information.

There are lots of fish so get your mask and snorkel on!

In short, if for you vacation means sunbathing on the sand for 1 week, choose a less rustic destination!

The largest beach (and with sand) is Ramla, but it is also the busiest. The majority of beaches are small and with stones.

If you would like more information, such as dog friendly beaches, I invite you to use the map updated by the Malta Rangers
